Sai Periyaandavan Temple

Aathur Periyandavan (Angala Parameswari)

This temple is situated at Aathur between Salem - Chennai route, near local river bank in Aathur, not so famous, but very powerful. First Visit was on 2001 January, and its almost 14 years with the blessings of Amma, calls me every year. Indeed Periyandavan Amma is my Paternal Kuladevatha (Ancestral Deity).

I am unaware of renowned History of this temple, even the localites and my anscesters. But I am sure Amma settled approx 500 years back to the extent of my search enshrined and worshipped as Aadhi Paraasakthi.

Arulmigu Periyandavan Amman Temple, referred as Periyaayi and Periyanayagi Temple by localites, is seen in a lying posture measuring 15 ft from head to foot.

Not many devotees aware of this temple except the localites, however, most noteworthy part is Amma serves as a welfare government listening to the grievances of the public, as a clinical dispensary rectifying the physical ills of people and as a court of justice easing the suffering of men and women. This sanctified shrine attract large number of Devotees and throng to get blessings from Amma during Tuesdays,Fridays & Sundays.
