Kalvadangam Sri Angaala Parameswari


A very old Hindu Temple in Salem District, Sankagiri Taluk, Kalvadangam Village with the Diety Sri Angalaparameswari Amman temple is situated at Kalvadangam between Salem - Bhavani-Sangagiri route, near local river bank of Kaveri, very powerful deity. First Visit was on 2009 March. 

Lakhs of devotees visit here every newmoon and fullmoon days since it is supposed to be auspicious during these days.

Amma consecrated
as snake pit, with her miracles and the great dazzling brightest light is mother Sri Angaalaparameshwari was ruling the world even before inhabition started. 

Devotees thronging to Kalvadangam even when there is no frequency of transport to reach here.

A small group of Brahmins who originally hailed from this village migrated several generations back to Kalvadangam got settled and started revering Sri Angaala Parameswari Amma as their Kuladevatha, indeed its my Maternal Kuladevatha as well. 

The Temple is governed by Late Muthusamy Poosari Family as Heridatary Trustee and as well Mahibalan Poosari family

Every year 7days of Festival is celebriated from Maasi Maha Siva Raththiri with three days of Ther Ottam etc.

By road, Kalvadangam is linked with Sangagiri-Bhavani and Salem State highway. Salem Railway Station is the nearest railhead.
