About the founder
Eminent personality Dr. Justice AR.Lakshmanan had his schooling in the town and became a lawyer in The Madras High Court. After the practice of almost two decades he was appointed The Judge Madras High Court by the President of India, thus winning the distinction of the first Chettiar (his community) to be appointed to the position. He then rose to the position of the Chief Justice of Kerala, Rajasthan and Andhra High Courts. He finally was appointed Judge Supreme court of India.
Even after his retirement as the judge Supreme Court of India he was appointed the Chairman of The Law Commission of India. Now he has own office in Chennai. He is very pious and a prolific reader. He has addressed many forums and written number of books on law and literature and culture. He has built a temple to Shirdi Sai Baba in his own native town Devakottai.
