Bangalore Kundalahalli Gate Sai

Sri Sai Ram

The Saibaba Temple in Kundalahalli Gate, Bangalore was my 14th visit in June 2009

The foundation stone was laid on 13th October 2005, Vijayadashmi Day by Sri Shirdi Sai Seva Trust (R). The Idol of Saibaba arrived from Jaipur on Vijayadashmi Day in 2007. Beginning with the foundation stone on Vijayadashmi Day all the important event took place on the auspicious day of Vijayadashmi which also happens to be the Samadhi Day of Shirdi Saibaba.

The Temple has 3 floors. In the ground floor of the Mandir, Ganapati Temple on the left side and Dattatreya Temple on the right side of the Mandir is present. A Meditation hall, Dhuni (Sacred Fire) besides the Saikoti Sthupa is also present. This Saikoti Sthupa is surrounded by walls which is built to a height of 12 feet by filling mud brought directly from Shirdi and Saikoti (Writing of Sairam) written in Panchaloha (Gold Plate, Silver Plate, Copper Plate, Steel Plate and Iron Plate) and also in the note books and the said filling of Saikoti is upto first floor and upon the Saikoti Lord Saibaba’s Statue is installed so as to touch the foot of Baba to the earth to get the vibration and positive power.

The first floor of the Mandir contains a Big Hall and a huge stage, upon which Saibaba Statue, Saibaba’s Samadhi and Saibaba Padukas are present.

The second floor of the Mandir consists of three Peetas, which is called as Dattatreya Peeta (9 Feet), Dakshinamoorthy Peeta (18 Feet) and Sai Peeta (36 Feet) and all the 3 peetas are unique and could be found only in this temple and no where in the World. All the three Peetas are decorated with Gold Plated Kalasha which is 2 ½ feet, 2 feet and 3 feet respectively. These kalashas were installed and Kumbhabhishekam was performed on 9th October 2008, Vijayadashmi Day.

The Saibaba Temple was inaugurated and Prana Prathistapana and Kumbhabhishekam were performed on 5th, 6th, 7th 8th and 9th October 2008 of Ganapathi, Dattatreya and Shirdi Saibaba. On 6th October 2008, the day on which Saibaba Idol was installed there were heavy rains. On 8th October 2008, the day of installation of Kalasha on the Sanctum Sanctorum, a Garuda Vahana (Eagle) flew 3 rounds over the temple in clockwise direction. On 9th October 2008, after the Prana Prathistapana and completion of distribution of Mahaprasadam, there was rain for about 2 minutes. By the virtue of all the above happenings, the place has become a very sacred place.

Dhuni is established from the sacred fire brought from Budigere Saibaba Temple on 8th October 2008.
