Chennai Thiruvottriyur Sai

Shree Sai Ram

The Saibaba temple in Thirvottriyur High road, Chennai was my 94th visit in February 2012.

Shirdi Sai Baba temples at Korukupet and Mylapore at Chennai were the motto for sai devotee Sri Rama Murthy to constrct this Sai temple at Thiruvotriyur, Chennai.

On March 18th 2002 a small statue of Sai baba was taken to Mylapore Sai Baba temple & after initial Puja there it was then installed and worshipped in this temple. A new Marble Statue of Sai was purchased during 2005 and installed here for worship.

Around 500 devotees visit the temple during Thursdays. Annadanam on thursdays happens automatically through devotees funds for the past 8 years.

All 4 Aartis are performed here regularly. New year, Mahasamadhi day, Rama Navami, Diwali and Temple Anniversary are the important functions celebrated in this temple.

It was said that on Vinayak chathurthi during 2002 , honey came out continuously from Sai baba’s mouth. It was noticed by many devotees during that day.
